Quality Care that Outshines the Others

In January, 1995 Lifestar Emergency Medical Services, LLC was formed to provide quality emergency medical services to the greater West Bend area.  Our company was founded with the belief that we could provide innovative, practical and top-quality services to improve a client’s status when in need of emergency care.  To help make this belief become reality Lifestar based its services on several philosophies: that our customers are to be treated and cared for as if they were our fathers, mothers, brothers or sisters; be considered a key part of our community not only for ambulance transport but also for public safety awareness and support for all community events; and that our first responsibility is to our customers.

Through a commitment to these philosophies, Lifestar EMS has been able to grow significantly since its start.  In 1995 Lifestar began with Unit # 1555, a handful of paid on call employees and a license to provide Basic Life Support ambulance.  1998 brought our first major change which was the addition of RN transports.  In 1999 we purchased the West Bend operation of Specialized Transport Services and began our wheelchair van service as well as upgraded our service level to the EMT-Intermediate level (I-85).  With an increase in service level and with the addition of wheelchair van service Lifestar began to add its first full-time and paid-hourly positions.  Our service area expanded in 2000 with service expansion to Ozaukee County and in 2001 with the addition of our Slinger office.  More recently, Lifestar expanded its service level to include EMT-Paramedic service and Critical Care Paramedic service. 

Today, Lifestar is a company of 69 employees, seven wheelchair vans, six ambulances and several support vehicles.  We provide transportation solutions from wheelchair van through Critical Care ambulance, community service standby and educational classes.  Annually, Lifestar provides over 20,000 conveyances to the patients, families, facilities and municipalities that we serve.
